How Soloco protects your privacy in a local-first product

2026/06/25

Introduction

Soloco is a local-first product. The orchestrator and the AI agents run on your own machine, and your goals, task data, files, and agent outputs stay on your device by default. This Privacy Policy explains the limited information we do handle, why, the optional program through which — only with your explicit consent — we collect agent run data to improve Soloco, and the choices you have.

Who We Are

Soloco is operated by BLUE STAR TRADING LIMITED, a company registered in Hong Kong (referred to as "Soloco", "we", or "us" in this policy). For any privacy question or request, you can reach us through our contact page.

Local-First by Design

  • Your work stays local by default. Goals, task trees, prompts, generated files, and agent run history are stored on your own device. By default they are not uploaded to, or stored on, Soloco servers. The one exception is the optional, consent-based improvement program described in "Improving Soloco with Your Consent" below — and only if you explicitly opt in.
  • Your own AI subscription. Soloco coordinates local agent runtimes (such as Claude Code or Codex) using your own provider account. When an agent runs, prompts and content are sent to that AI provider (for example, Anthropic) under your own agreement with them — not through Soloco.
  • No selling of data. We never sell your personal information or your task data.

Information We Collect

We keep collection to a minimum, and only for the parts of the service that are not local:

  • Account information: if you create an account, your name and email address, handled through our authentication provider.
  • Payment information: if you purchase a paid plan, payment is processed by our third-party payment provider(s) — for purchases in CNY this may include WeChat Pay, and for international payments a card/payment processor. We do not store your full card details.
  • Website and diagnostic data: limited, cookieless analytics about how the marketing website is used — aggregate visit counts that are not used to identify you — and anonymized error reports to help us fix problems.
  • Agent run data (only with your explicit, separate consent): if you opt in to help improve Soloco, the inputs and outputs of your agent runs, collected as samples and stored in our cloud. This is off unless you turn it on, and you can withdraw at any time. See "Improving Soloco with Your Consent" below.

How We Use Information

  • To create and maintain your account and provide paid features
  • To process payments and prevent fraud
  • To respond to support requests
  • To diagnose errors and improve the product
  • With your explicit consent only, to improve and develop the product — including its features and underlying models — using the agent run samples described above

Unless you explicitly opt in to the improvement program below, we do not access or use your local task data.

Improving Soloco with Your Consent

We are building Soloco to handle increasingly capable long-running work, and real examples of agent runs help us improve it. Only with your explicit, separate, and optional consent:

  • What we collect. When an agent runs, we may collect the inputs and outputs of that run (for example, the context provided to the agent and the structured result it returns) as samples, store them in our cloud, and use them to improve and develop Soloco and its underlying models.
  • It is opt-in and separate. This consent is requested separately from creating your account and from accepting our Terms of Service. You can decline it and continue using Soloco normally; declining keeps that run data on your device only.
  • You can withdraw. You may withdraw your consent at any time in Settings. After withdrawal, new runs are no longer collected.
  • Sensitive content. Agent inputs and outputs can contain sensitive information. Before storing samples we take automated steps to remove detected secrets and credentials; even so, we ask for your explicit consent because this content originates from your own work. Please do not opt in if your runs routinely contain information you are not permitted to share.
  • Not for sale. As stated above, we never sell this data.

Data Security

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the limited account and payment information we hold, and the agent run samples collected from users who opt in. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but keeping work local by default reduces the data exposed in the first place.

Third-Party Services

We rely on a small number of processors for the non-local parts of the service, including authentication, payment processing, and error/analytics tooling. Each processes data only as needed to provide its function. Your use of an AI provider through Soloco is governed by that provider's own privacy policy.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live — including under China's Personal Information Protection Law (PIPL), the EU/UK GDPR, and the California CCPA/CPRA — you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the account information we hold about you, and you may withdraw consent or object to certain processing. Because Soloco is local-first, most of your data never leaves your device. These requests apply to the limited account and billing information described above and, if you opted in to the improvement program, to the agent run samples we have collected from you. To make a request, contact us.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
